In March 2026, the International Blended Intensive Program (BIP) "Move with What Unfolds – Sustainable Printmaking" took place at the University of Arts Linz. In cooperation with the Vilnius Academy of Arts (Lithuania) and the Academy of Art in Szczecin (Poland), the project brought together students and teachers from three European art universities.

The focus of the program was the artistic examination of sustainable and non-toxic processes in printmaking. Together, new approaches to gravure printing were tested that combine ecological responsibility with artistic practice. Experimental works were created at the interface of material, process and space. Apart from the technical aspects of printing, we also explored the issue of sustainability in everyday artistic practice.

"Move with What Unfolds" combines digital preparation with an intensive work phase on site in Linz. In addition to practical work in the workshop, the program includes lectures, excursions, studio visits and an interdisciplinary exchange between the participants.

A special highlight is the joint exhibition at the end of the project, in which the resulting works were presented. It provided an insight into the diverse artistic positions and reflected current issues relating to sustainability, materiality and collaborative forms of work in printmaking.

"Move with What Unfolds" sees itself as a platform for open dialog, research-based work and international collaboration - with the aim of developing contemporary and responsible perspectives for printmaking.
